can this schottky diode forming a diode bridge for the 24VAC to 12VDC circuit?

What 's difference between using this diode versus regular silicon diode for diode bridge besides the voltage drop and quick response time.

That's the only differences. Thus there's no reason or advantage in using a Schottky diode for converting 24VAC to 12VDC from mains since you have voltage to burn and the rectification frequency is low.

Should not be a problem , provided you are using a bridge(4 diodes).
If you are using 2 diodes with a center tapped transformer , you may exceed the
peak reverse voltage of the diode.
