Can someone help me find a microcontroller.

hello fourm, my name is elliott and im doing a school project. And im stuck at trying to make a circut redirect at a certain point. I will need to make a small device that can dectect when a battery is at 100% charge and then will redirect its current to a capacitor. if anyone can help me find a microcontroller and give me some guidence on how to do it. That would be great!

Use PIC series of Microcontroller ,that will be good

have u to do it using microcontroller??
because it can be simply done using zener diode and cap ,few resistors..
