Hi,

I am getting confuse with something. As from my understending fixed WiMAX can not achieve maximum theoretical data rate of 70Mbps as specified by the standard because of spectrum limitations. Then threre are other factors such as overhead in OFDMA that is about 30-40%. Therefore I was thinking if the fiber is placed as a backhaul for example to WiMAX it will not increase the throughput. Is this true? Is fiber going to bring more users supported by WiMAX?

Any comments on this metter will be very much appreciated.

Thank you!

Milos

Backend should never be a problem for thru' put. WiMAX thru' put is only because of issues you have described.
Above all the thru'put of wireless will be small compared to wireline.
