Hi all,

I m a beginner in CAN . i read from pdf that there is no device addressing in CAN , messages wil be broadcast over the network and node wil accept it if it is for that node, rest of the node wil simply discard it. To Do this job it has also acceptance filter. i could not understand this properly. Can anyone please clear my doubts with simple examples. Thank u

Hello suma_ranga

As far as i remember identifier is not for identifying nodes, it is for messages. For example you have 3 nodes ( i.e. 1,2,3 ), node 1 is broadcasting message with identifier 1 and both nodes can receive that message. Important is that what each node do with that message.
