need to know

Hi can I use a PIC16F877 for the host PIC or does it need to be PIC16F876

Re: need to know

With the ICD2 clone

Re: need to know

Hi !

I have seen ICD2 circuits using the 16F877 or the 16F876. Both PIC models are very similar and the 16F877 has more features than 16F876 (with all features of 876). I think it will work.

Re: need to know

Yes, you can use the 16F877 instead the 16F876, but you need to program it with a different bootloader.
