Can i connect two ac voltages in series???

I've two 12V 1A transformers...How can i connect them in series (if possible) to get 24V ...
In addition, will connecting in such way also increase the current to 2A???

Two transformer windings can be connected in series, then 12Vac+12ac => 24Vac but the current will be determined by the lower(st)-rated winding .. in your case it will still be 1A ..
