Can controller (MCP2515) bit timing cal and wire length

1.Does the length of the can wires affect any calculation for bit timing?
2.Can any wires be used for can high & low?
3.How do you calculate the propagation delay?,In the mcp2515 datasheet the values are assumed and no formula is given for the calculation.
