can CC2540 be used for speech processing applications

Hi,

We are trying to send a speech signal over Bluetooth and process it using CC2540. Can this Processor be used for Speech Processing. We have already bought CC2540 and its development board :( If it can't be used directly please give me some suggestion wherein I can use some external components with CC2540 to make it possible.
