can any one help me with programming 89c2051 chip

i have made a manual programmer for 89c2051, it has dip switches to set the signals and code byte to be programmed. but the problem is when i follow the programming algoritm and try to read the signature bytes or flash, the controller does not respond. what could be the possible cause. please suggest the practical procedure to be followed for reading or writing the chip.

the programming algorithm is very easy in this chip even hardware is simple

yet to develop one, i am thinking to make that for linux rather then windows.
