stk500 as an at89c51rx2

Can I use AVRdoper to program a AT89S51, S52 or S53 microcontroller?

avrdoper at89s51

Only 8051 parts support Self Programming (Software ISP) mode can operate on STK500, the AT89C51RC2 is an example of such device --- AT89Sxx devices are not.

As AVR-Doper is an STK500 compatible In-System Programmer (ISP), I guess you can't use AVRdoper to program a AT89S51, S52 or S53 micro controller

Read this Application Note for further information:
 Using the STK500 as an AT89C51Rx2 Target Board
This Application Note explains how to use the STK500 as a development board for 8051 Architecture microcontrollers.

but S52 supports ISP programming and Asim ISP can program it. MOre over, STK500 has Mosi, Miso, sck, and reset, which are common for AVR and S52
