Hi, everyone

I'm a newcomer to COMSOL. I want to simulate S11 of a multi-layer EM absorber. My issues are below:
1. The top face is set port, and the bottom face is set Perfect Electric Boundary to reflect EM wave totally. Someone said the face that is set port should define Perfect Electric Boundary. What boundary should the top face define?
2. I set the port on the top face, but someone said the port should be 1/2 wavelength away from the top face. Your suggestion?
3. If the absorber is a periodic structure, periodic BC or the PEC and PMC are OK. But when it’s not the periodic structure, what boundaries should be defined in four side faces?
4. And, how to define interior boundaries on interfaces of different layers?
Do you have any corresponding tutorial?

Thank you in advance!
