[SOLVED] Burning Program To PIC18F4550

Can anybody tell me how to burn PIC18F4550. I have only worked with 8051 programming through com port using max232 ic. In 8051 I burned the microcontroller by pressing reset and program through software.


Is it possible to program PIC18F4550 like 8051?

If yes then please give the circuit(schematic) for this and how can I use MPLAB C compiler and MPLAB IDE with this?

you can do it with PICKIT-2, or 3 or a PIC burner to burn the program...

You should use Pic programmer for that... You cannot use 8051 programmer for programming pic... Use pic jdm programmer or pic kit 2 or 3 programmers.....
