Dear All,
I will attempt to build an ultra low noise xtal oscillator (10 Mhz).

The oscillator shown at www.sm5bsz.com/osc/newref.htm is inspiring as its performance is close to the very professional ones.
I will try to replicate it using SMD components and better crystals. I don't know the price of a SC-Cut crystal though.

Do you know similar or better designs than the example above? Any thoughts on its performance?

Thank you for the tips. https://www.sm5bsz.com/osc/newref.htm still seems to be the record holder for Wenzel oscillator like performance. Do you know any others. Still consider a SC-Cut crystal but I dont know the price.

there is a long thread on this forum specifically about low noise xtal osc. u should search for it. talked about crystals, device types, noise degeneration, etc.

One of the best is Mr. Rohde's design. Please get Microwave Journal, May 2013; on page 132 Mr. Rohde presents more about his designs.
