1. Why is current feedback faster than voltage feedback?
2. How does a buck converter have 1 pole and 1 zero in current feedback?
 

average or peak current mode ( with slope compensation ) removes the effect of the inductor from the output filter, as you are essentially controlling how much current flows into Cout and the load - because the delaying effect of the inductor has been reduced - the overall control loop can be faster without winding up the inductor with an excess of current.

The zero is related to the ESR in Cout, the double pole is created by the LC filter.
