I just came across this terminology of break before make circuit, was wondering what it is ? googling does not give enough information. I just want to learn the basics of it.
When you are switching a signal path between two different sources a "break before make" opens the original signal path before the new signal path is closed. It avoids any momentary shorting between the two signal sources.
Such a signal could possibly be used to switch back and forth between two sources in a "break before make" style, but that's a method of achieving it, not a synonym for it.
