.bin file instead of .hex file

hello sir's
Till now i had use a only .hex file for burning into ROM. i don't have any idea how to burn .bin file in ROM or what is use of that file.
& how to genrate this file.

i am using KEIL with p89v51rd2.

You can use hex2bin to generate bin file from hex file. hex2bin and bin2hex is available from Keil. Search for it in Keil website.

Then why don't you use hex file generated by Keil.

A HEX file contains a check sum for each 16 bytes of data, so a error will be flagged if there is any data corruption. A bin file is a straight data file and contains no check sum. You should always use a HEX file if at all possible.
