Address Transition Detector (ADT) circuits generate a brief voltage pulse in response to a rising and/or falling voltage transition on the address line. In other words the voltage transition triggers the ADT circuit - so prior to the voltage transition the ADT circuit must be in it's off (stable) state. Clearly the operation of the ADT circuit is dependent on the voltage levels before and after the signal transition.
Is there a way to implement an ADT circuit that is triggered by the voltage signal transition in a completely bias independent fashion. One which can successfully detect voltage transitions in, say, a staircase signal ? ..
(floor plan restriction prevents me from using a differentiator circuit instead.)
