The IBIS Open Forum is pleased to announce that the IBIS Interconnect Modeling Specification (ICM), version 1.1 has been standardized through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), as of January 18, 2006. Confirmation from ANSI can be viewed through **broken link removed**.

Official copies of the new standard, ANSI/GEIA STD-0001-2006, are available through the GEIA (http://www.geia.org).

ICM permits model authors to describe passive interconnects in a tool-neutral, behavioral, human-readable way similar to IBIS. ICM supports RLGC frequency-dependent matricies as well as S-parameter data.
