Batch simulation in Hyperlynx

Hi, I am wondering what is the Batch simulation in Hyperlynx SI/PI tool of Mentor Graphics. I have found that in DC Drop simulation where there is an option to run Batch simulation and also in DRC there is an option to run Batch DRC check. What is the term Batch.
