for a single resistive fet mixer

1) what happens to conversion loss when i increased LO power ?

2) what happens to conversion loss when i increased RF power?

Increasing LO Power decreases conversation loss until some point but further increment beyond this point conversation loss almost constant.

i am using down converter FET resistive mixer. RF power is negative i.e RF power = -10dbm, when i varies LO power from +5dbm to +10dbm the conversion losses increases i.e from -20db to -5 db.

is it ok?? i mean is it working properly bcoz the conversion losses increasing......

It does not mean that the mixer works properly alone. If you can send schematic of mixer and simulation results i can say something about your mixer.

Hi rakesh228, Was this relation (conversion loss vs LO power) "dB to dB", i mean with every increase in LO power (say 1dB) how did the conversion loss change?

regards

its db to dbm.....(conversion loss in db while LO power in dbm)
