barrier potential or cut in voltage variation with temp

why cut in voltage of a diode decreases with increase in temperature ?? please dont give mathematical explanations only .Please if possible try to explain the inner physics.
 

A semiconductor junction conducts better when it is warmed. Therefore its forward voltage becomes reduced. You cannot change it so don't ask why.

ok that means that as carrier concentration increases the width of depletion region decreases and hence barrier potential decreases .Can we say in other way that the electrons in the Conduction band of n side gains energy from temperature and hence for a smaller input voltage the current rises .Thus cut in voltage decreases .If it is so , then is it possible that without applying any bias if we connect the two ends of a diode with an ammeter and then heat it , then at some point of time we can get diffusion current .I mean i want to say is it possible to get diffusion current only using temperature but not any voltage ?
