Hi,

I'm looking for a barcode scan module, to provide decoded barcode data via some serial protocol maybe SPI, etc., and it needs to just work with 2D barcodes (one of the alphanumeric ones, I forget the code but it is one of the popular families - it may be code 128).

I know normally they come as a whole handheld device with USB interface, but I need a smaller one for an embedded application, i.e. suitable for integration, but still for handheld use. Does such a thing exist, with a decoded output?

Does anyone have experience with any product that is fairly quick to integrate into a design, and available in a small quantity (2 for now) easily in Europe. Thanks!
