Hello Friends,

I have calculated Band Gap for Mushroom Type EBG Structure. But, when I am using that structure for mutual coupling reduction in patch array, I am not getting mutual coupling improvement in complete band gap. Only, for certain frequencies, it gives results.

Is there any reason for the same case? I read in Kovac's thesis about Array Resonance causing the band gap and Fabry Perot Resonance causing Zero Reflection Phase. Is there any relation with this? Is there band inside the band gap?

Please reply asap.

Thank you.

are u simulated EBG in HFSS?

I have simulated this structure in Ansoft Designer.......I have also done in HFSS.......same results......any solution????
