Hai,
Does any body know any websites from where i can buy 315 MHZ rf module. I have checked many of the websites i know and all of them sell 433 only. I already have 433 mhz devices running here, so i need to have a different frequency for my new project.

I just had a very bad experiences with ebay, i saw a 315 mhz product and messaged the seller and confirmed its 315 mhz and when he sent me it was 433 mhz. And guess what he replied to mail ?.. "315 mhz and 433 mhz work on same frequency sir ". I was just shocked at his mail. :p

Then i tried out the website evelta.com, and they had 315 mhz module and i bought them and found that it was not working and i reported to them and after some arguments they refunded my money. since it was not available in any other websites or local shops here i had to buy it from them again and even the second one doesn't seem to work. I dont think they will refund me this time.

Iam sure that the circuit is correct because when i place the 433 mhz modules which i already have the circuit works.

Just out of curiosity, is 315 MHz band open for license-free radio devices in india? If so, which output is permitted?

Isnt it open? I thought it is open

The last one seems to be cheaper. By the way i have another doubt. previously i have always used those Modules whose reciever has 8 pins . is their much difference between 2 types of modules ?? In terms of performance or anything ??

The last module i bought from ebay was the 4 pin version (433 mhz thing about which i mentioned in first post) . And it didn't seem to perform well. I was hardly getting a range of 20 metres. I had tried a wire of 17cm length as antenna and it didn't improve performance. i am using 5v on both reciever and transmitter side. Am i using wrong voltage or anything ??

You test are total right. This kind of ASK module is cheap but bad performance about the range. If you need more range, we reommend you choose the GFSK transceiver. But the GFSK transceiver is expensive than the simple ASK solution.
We have tested **broken link removed** module, which the range is over 500 meters in the open in our wind generator monitoring solution.
