How do I display the audio level from the Line-In port of my PC Sound Card on a real time bar-graph display on-screen ?
I have read that some sound cards / chipsets support a feature to read the digital value of the audio input level directly. Not all sound cards support this feature.
Is there any standard way (without using the built-in feature of the sound card) to read the input audio level (on the Line-In port) and display the value on-screen ? The value needs to be updated on a timer (20ms typically)
Has anyone come across an ActiveX control (free/public license) to do this ?
