I need to know a low cost interface between microcontroller and a backbone that
supports ethernet. I would be glad if sombodey introduce me with a low cost IC for interfacing microcontroller or a low cost microcontroller that supports ethernet
It is an Embedded Ethernet Web Server Coprocessor Module. It can be connected to any simple microcontrollers using serial interface. I never tried it though
Hi
I know MC9S12NE64 motorola S12 series microcontroller with $9.30 that can help you for your need. see www.freescale.com for good driver and application note about it.
Microchip have just released a new 28 pin ethernet IC with an SPI interface. It also has 8K of onboard ram. ENC28J60, this looks very interesting. It has some nice touches like automatic CRC calculations.
I am trying to get hold of a couple of samples but it has only just been released.
You can try XPORT from Lantronix. The price is not small but the device offers a large number of applications.
The WLAN solution is WIPORT. It has two high speed serial ports.
Before i mentioned this already, but i havent tried it back then.
Now i have used the siteplayer (www.siteplayer.com), and it's not bad. it is an embedded web server with an 8051 microcontroller on it. it has serial and SPI interface, as well as several IO ports. it helped us save time, so we can concentrate on our main project.
