arranging multiple images for journal publiation

Can somebody please suggest me how to arrange multiple images for research papers with particular resolution of 600 dpi or so.
 

are you unhappy with LaTeX's output?
 

There is a program called irfanview (see here, https://www.irfanview.com/)
It has batch processing mode. As i know, it lets you change some properties of pictures automatically.

Is it something you look for?
 

Well, i was able to do it with Adobe Photo-shop. It turned out to be the simplest option.
