I want to have small computer based on ARM board, which should support the following
USB
RS 232 port
Ethernet port
WiFi
Linux or embedded linux
small LCD display and drivers(optional)
I have computer with broadband internet connection, i want to do the following
when i connect ARM board to my computer using ethernet cable, i should be able to use the ARM board as access point for my home network.
I should be able to develop drivers for my USB devices (it is possible most of the OS)
Mainly i should be able to do remote desktop for my ARM board, as no display will not be there to connect. Is it possible to connect to this ARM board from any internet connection?
Beagle bone is a good choice and it costs less than beagleboard xm with little features ripped off from xm. like arduino, this standalone board can be connected to "capes"(sheilds as in arduinos)or with xm as ethernet port is available with it.
chubby or raspberry pi too are good things to start with
