Please let me know I want to include my ATmega16 based ammeter with RS485 protocol
which can send ampere rating to PC.

Is there a reason you want to use RS485? RS232 is a lot simpler protocol to use, and code for it is everywhere.

I am making digital ammeter ATmega16 based and also want to show data on computer.
Many latest PC`s have no serial port but ethernet port is available on every PC.
That`s why I want to use RS485.
