Anyone made their own JTAG tool for ARM11 processors?

Hello. I'm wondering if anyone has schematics and source code to make their own ARM11 JTAG programmer/debugger? I can't afford to spend thousands of dollars on a BDI2000 or similar. Thanks!
 

I'm just analyzying documentation concerning JTAG interface and how to program Flash in ARM. Most of material can be found in pdf files of particular device but there is not enough data to understand everything.
