any IC to convert 3.7v to 5v

can anyone suggest me if this is possible that i can boost 3.7v to 5v?
in my application i need to power 18f4550 through battery (3.7V-4.2V) when the battery is partially discharged then voltage drops below 4.2V and this may lead to performance issue in 18f4550. i also wish to use usb while powering through battery.

If you are using usb you can power the controller from usb. you dont need to boost the voltage because this controller working voltage is 2 to 5.5 volts

yes i agree, but usb will be available for a limited time.

If your battery providing 3.7V it can run the controller. because controller works fron 2 to 5.5V. check the link in previous post.
