hi

is there any free but still useful and unlimited (not a demo) em or multi-physics simulator? a big one with lots of features.
i found lots of small programs, normally not too useful, or limited.

i need cad import, but also 3d editing (where i can easily edit a structure), difficoult problems solving (not just a cube in the space, but for example an imported PCB) ...

i wanted to try:
-i wanted to use the elmer, but it needed an external CAD, importer, and mesher programs, and it was too difficoult to find compatible ones. it seems all of there programs have some unique file formats, nothing is compatible wit anything? the elmer manual mentions some programs, those are not free programs.
-i also wanted to use jcae, but it seems it needs an external solver, but they dont tell what program is working with the jcae.
-gmesh: it has a solver, some kind of command line program, i have no idea how to invoke it, and anyway, the gmesh crashes all the time.
...i have similar experiences with other programs.
