Hi to all, I'm wondering about the possibility to design microstrip antennas on the surface of a little cylinder, does anyone know something about this?

yep. you can design. But it depends on the material of clinder. Maybe you cam use cylinder as ground plane and attach over the top dielectric and patch. simulation needed..

Patch antennas find themselves on the surfaces of many (flying) cylinders (e. g. aircraft, missiles, pods, artillery, etc.) They are very practical.

I agree with the comment about this being best studied with a simulator.

Try these books

"Conformal Array Antenna Theory and Design", Josefsson and Persson
"Design of Nonplanar Microstrip Antennas and Transmission Lines", Wong
