An RF module consists of an helical antenna (with 12 to 14 turns) for receiving signal.
( RF module wid 433.9 Mz frequency and decoder IC-SC2272 on it.)
what will happen if the turns of helical antenna are reduced into a straight line wire?
will it receive any signal after making it straight?
or it will not work at all?

It will turn into a traditional ground plane antenna, but the wire will be several wavelengths long. This will produce multiple lobes. Some signal energy will get into the receiver electronics.

ok, as u say some signal energy will get into the receiver, but according to me it won't be the xact signal which the receiver is actually meant to catch/receive...right??? o there is anothr explation for this? do tell...
