Hello , I have followed the attached article and made the phase plot shown bellow .
created two unit cells with phase difference of 180 in reflection.
And the method works as shown in the photos attached.

I have a problem to understand equation 5 in the attached article.
How did they found this relation between the reflection coefficient of the mode r0 r1 hat with the reflection coefficient of the spcific unit cell.

Is there some manual i can read more about this formula?
how they built the relations between reflection coeffecient of the unit cell and the reflection coefficient of the mode.
I cant see how they built equation 5.
I never heard of it before and it works perfect in designing unit cell anomalios reflection.
