Analog Fax modem Protocol

I'm looking for the protocol that has been used in the analog fax devices and want to communicate with them to change that to digital. is there any board or chip that do this for me? where can I find information about the protocol. Tnx

Are you referring to the truely analog Group1 and Group2 fax protocols (according to ITU standards T.2 and T.3) or digital Group 3 fax? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fax for reference

Standards T.2 and T.3 are no longer available at ITU-T. Some basic parameters of the analog transmission are however described in present standard T.1 Standardization of Phototelegraph Apparatus.
