The circuit above is part of an amplifier.

The source of the mosfet is floating in the circuit. When the source of the mosfet is floating, what is the role of the mosfet?
(I want to know about the role of mosfet in this circuit)
 

They act as Capacitors to compensate something or filter the bandwidth.
If it's so, an expensive method. They benefited from stray capacitances between Gate and Source/Bulk terminals but it does not make sense.
 

IRF530 is a power MOSFET. I think it's impossible to read sense into the schematic snippet, need to to know the context. E.g. how is the circuit biased, what are source and load?
