amplifier grounding

Is it possible that if the amplifier is not grounded , it will behave like a non-linear amplifier ?

amplifier and grounding

What kind of amplifier you're talking about and in what respect grounding is involved with the circuit. I can imagine many kinds of grounding.

Generally, if an interfering voltage causes exceeding of a limiting parameter for linear operation (e.g. input or output voltage range, current limit, slew rate), the amplifier behaves non-linear. Interfering signals (e.g. mains hum) can be expected to depended on grounding.

A typical example for a bad circuit in this respect would be a differential amplifier with floating (missing ground connection) input source.
