Hi,

how do I go about defining a rule for the fanout of a 1mm pitch 672 BGA.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not particularly familiar to Altium Designer auto routing capabilities, e.g. if they need manual assistance, with Specctra, I would use default rules.

Hi,

There is a Fanout control option for BGA IC's in the Routing->Fanout Control section of the PCB Rules and Constraints Editor. You can look at page 36 of the document TR0116.pdf in the help folder for detailed info about its usage.

Also with Altium Designer, default rules seems to be appropriate.

Many thanks guys.
