Advice from the working professionals for VLSI fresher

hello every one, i am doing my M.tech in vlsi and embedded system from V.T.U. so i just need some advice from the working professionals. so that i can build my self according to the industrial need, it may be front-end or back-end. if possible please suggest the books/tools/papers that we have to go through.

ur project will be ur first and the most important step in ur career.
try to get a project at a very gud company and target on wat u r interested in tat means be specific on wat u r goin to do.
it may be front end or back end just be good at basics.

I am from JSS college Bangalore. i am petty much interested in both backend & frontend so i have decided to concentrate more on ASIC and basics. thanks for Ur suggestion.
