ADS problem

Hi all
I'm new in ADS and need your advise on a problem
when trying to use a sub-circuit in a new Schematic , there is an error says:
"incorrect number of terminals specified for 'device'"
the device is a 3 terminal (transistor).
what is the trouble?
thanks to all

Re: ADS problem

Hi Hisa,
I didnt understand your question completely. are you getting problem while calling instance in main circuit or you have problem with devices (transistor)

Please elaborate your question in more detail and possible then post snaps of error. I will try to answer it correctly. because I have used ADS 2004, 2006.

Re: ADS problem

Hi girih192002
I mean, for using the subcircuit I create a new schematic but you know it creates a 2 port circuit and changing number of ports is impossible!!
the question is:
Is the type of new Schematic important or not?
I used the instruction of this file in ads 2008 to have a DC sweep:

Re: ADS problem

Hi Hisa,
Now, I understood your question. You can draw Instance by using create Symbol that is absolutely right. You must have given two ports like input, output. while you required three or more than that.

there is an alternative method to do is that, you can only save your sub circuit in new window save as Instance_BJT and call that instance by going on main window ad you can see some palette click on schematic/ component window and call that sub circuit by Instance_BJT in your main circuit.

do not create symbol by earlier method. I also got same problem with Symbol generate method then I have delete whole design and did sub circuit with right and appropriate ports.

Let me know, is this method is working or not ?
