Hi,
I want set additional protection on Atmega128, because the fuse protection can be removed very easy. Some company, like Russian_Semi_Research, can do it. Anybody used this service? What technology use by this company? Can I make it myself?

Hi. May be this will be interesting in such cut. Or may be not ))

There was also an interesting demo of DIY chip probing at 29C3 in Hamburg last year, the video is probably on line somewhere if you want to see what a amateur setup can do.

Popular attacks also sometimes feature operating the part deliberately out of supply tolerence (An old attack from the early days of satelite telly, but still sometimes effective), out of clock tolerence, at extremes of temperature and even de-encapsulating the thing and hitting selected bits of the die with UV or XRay beams (Gamma is possible, but tricky to control for an amateur).

Regards, Dan.

U add External EEPROM in which u write some code word. When Controller Read this Code word then only program start RUN.

We always say nothing is impossible. So even though u develop any high secure system then also some one will break it. So we just try to make program such that each system have unique ID & even though any one copy then u should ignore
