use 18f14k22 RA0 to read a voltage from my 7805 output via a potentialmeter ( 0 to 5V) .

I found that the voltage input will stay at few hundred mili volt from the POT 0 to almost full, then i can see a quick change in voltage input raise to 5V for the last small portion of POT. (POT used 100, 1K, 10K)

I try to use a power supply to connect to my RA0 pin and the voltage will raise accordingly when i tune up the power supply, no problem..

Is it hardware issue or software issue?

Thanks,

Regards

ADC

Use a multimeter to measure the output voltage of the POT. If it is a hardware issue you can find it easily...

may be it was a logarithmic one get a linear pot. Is that any other load connected with the POT???
