is there any difference between error correction and calibration in ADC?

and if the calibration should be done in initial before normal operation?

and if is the " should be " output voltage must save in ROM in advance?

and follow it we can input a ramp to calcultate the different at first?

or the error calibration should be done when normal operation? i mean if calibration cycle will happen within each conversion cycle die by die?
