hi all ,

i can't realize the idea of connecting the ADC to Digital Equalizer ?

as i know Filter gets discrete values of signal , but here ADC gives ((bits)) representing the value and not the value itself

in different papers they simply draw a line from ADC with N and introduces it to the Digital Equalizer !

how they are doing it ? how to manipulate the N-bits lines ?

thanks

i suspect the equaliser you are referring to is probably some sort of DSP chip which does math calculations on the input data to do its job. Fourier (FFT/ DFT) analysis is common, and also FIR/ IIR filter implementations.

actually yes it is FIR filter, image of system is attached

and FIR filter is called FFE "feed forward equalizer" for its purpose

i am thinking of it on the circuit level ?, as my team is required to design Rx for High speed serial interface in our Graduation Project

many thanks for reply
