ADC AD7705 issue reg pin description

I am using AD7705 IC for Analog to digital conversion.I have read the data sheet fully but till now i didnt get clear idea about the usage of DIN and DOUT pins in that IC.In our connections we have connected the DIN pin to the output of the microcontroller as MOSI and DOUT pin to the input of that microcontroller as MISO..can you please clarify...

This is correct, have you also connected CLK and #CS?

ya ..I am having doubt that why we are connecting that pin to MOSI and MISO??
Can you please brief the reason

your device is a slave device
the controller is a master device

DIN - data IN
MOSI - Master OUT Slave IN
MISO - Master IN Slave OUT
DOUT -data OUT

so the correct connection should be like this:
Controller | AD7705
----------------------
MOSI -> DIN
MISO <- DOUT
CLK -> CLK
#CS -> #CS
