ADC 0808 in free running mode

0808 free running

Hi
I noticed when using ADC 0808 IC in the free running mode it is better to use channel 7 for analog input (not channel 1 as many net resources refer) cause when i used analog channel 1 it wasn't stable, full of noise and interference and actually I don't know why, beside you can use 555 as a source of clock.
Attached the schematic for the ADC 0808 in free running mode.
