Hi,

I am getting a little confused as to the wiring of the AD9852 in SPI mode using and XMEGA chip. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

SPI interface

XMEGA to AD9852 SPI connections:
MOSI > SDIO,
MISO < SDO,
SCK > SCLK
GPIO > /CS (not chip select
GPIO > Master reset

Other related connections:
S/P pin is GND on the AD9852 for serial SPI mode.
Be sure to tie the unused parallel pins low per Table 10 of the AD9852 data sheet.

The XMEGA has 3 SPIs ports, they are available on Port C, D, and E. Chose the port that is easiest to connect to.
The SS (Slave Select) pin on the XMEGA is not used because the XMEGA is the master because the AD9852 is hardwired as a slave.
