DC wave of voltage level 5v
AC wave of voltage level from -2.5 to +2.5 v ..
since both are having same Peak to peak voltage ..can we say that both are equal..(i got this point from a book..in that above two cases were compared and proved that AC wave need only only 6.5 whereas DC is power hungry :it carves for 12.5v)
dear u have described dc wave voltage 5v
its mean +5
while in AC u are disscussing about both + and_ 2.5
than how are these same would you like to brief i mean as u said approved in a book.
comparing signals means comparing power of the two signals
i understand from your questions that you have 5V DC and 2.5V AC peak to peak
DC power will equal AC power when AC value is given as RMS (root mean square )value and not peak value
that means if in your system :
V DC *I DC=V rms AC *I rms AC for resistive load
is exist
then you can say you have 5 volt DC and 5 volt AC
