Hi everyone,

I studied some LC tank designs and noticed some of which don't built the tank directly with varactors. Instead, they used a capacitor in series with the varactor. Is that for the reason of the improve the linearity of the frequency tuning? Or, is there any other reasons for that?

By the way. How can we choose the value of the capacitor. Is there any relationship between the capacitor and varactor? Thank you.
